The Idaho Spud
The Idaho Spud is a true American original. First introduced in 1918 and still made in the same factory since 1909, this iconic candy bar features a rich cocoa marshmallow center coated in dark chocolate and coated in toasted coconut.
Family founded in 1901 and now proudly veteran owned, Idaho Candy Co. continues to craft the Spud the old-fashioned way — delivering the nostalgic taste generations have loved for over a century.
125 Years of Idaho Candy Company
Idaho Candy Company began as a dream in 1901, when T.O. Smith started making candy from his home in Boise. In 1909, he partnered with the Adams family to build what was then the most modern factory in the city—featuring skylights and a break room for employees. Inside this factory, the Idaho Spud and other classic candies were born, becoming beloved treats inspired by the Northwest. More than a century later, they are still made in this same 23,000-square-foot building, with some original early-1900s equipment still in use today...

I am 75 years old, retired, and I still love eating Idaho Spuds. At times they are hard to find in the stores. Therefore, buying them like this is cheaper for me overall. Plus, I give them to my friends who have never tried them and they love them. Therefore, I am sort of an Ambassador for this wonderful product. The 24-count mailer is perfect for me. Right size and quantity.
BTW- I find it very hard for me to eat just one at a time. It has to be two at a time for me. Thank you for creating such a tasty and incredible product.

Idaho candy’s Owhyee butter toffee is always absolutely wonderful. Makes me glad I’m from Idaho. It always makes a great gift for somebody from Idaho or even not.
My 90 year old Mom grew up in Boise and has lived in NJ since the 1950's. Every Christmas we receive the Owyhee Butter Toffee and Idaho Spud bars from our family that still lives in Boise. It is a tradition!
Spuds are my husband's favorite. The 12 pack box is convenient for storing in the cupboard and for gifting to others.
